Transitional Kindergarten

🌟 Transitional Kindergarten at Palms Elementary

At Palms Elementary, our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program gives young learners a joyful start to their school journey. Children can enroll at age 4, and our TK classroom is designed to help students learn, play, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.

Learning Through Play

Our TK program is hands-on and play-based, which means children learn by exploring, creating, building, and working together. Through guided play and engaging activities, students develop important early skills in language, math, social-emotional learning, and problem solving.

We use Creative Curriculum, a research-based program that supports children’s natural curiosity. Students learn through activities such as:

  • Building and creating with blocks and materials

  • Exploring art, music, and movement

  • Listening to stories and developing early reading skills

  • Practicing early math through games and hands-on activities

  • Learning to share, collaborate, and express their ideas

Building Confidence and School Readiness

Our TK program helps students build the skills and confidence they need for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers focus on helping children:

  • Develop strong social and emotional skills

  • Build independence and confidence

  • Strengthen language and early literacy skills

  • Learn routines that prepare them for a successful school experience

A Joyful Start to School

At Palms, we believe that the early years should be filled with joy, curiosity, and discovery. Our caring teachers create a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school every day.
