Parent Center

Hello and welcome to the Parent and Family Center at Palms Elementary! My name is Sandra Padilla and I am the Parent Center Rep. Please feel free to visit and have a cup of coffee in room 24 to discuss how to continue improving our school and community. The Parent Center hosts workshops, assists with school events, and supports parents in setting up Parent Portal/LAUSD App accounts and volunteer applications. Parent Portal/LAUSD App

We encourage all parents/legal guardians to enroll in the Parent Portal/LAUSD App. The platform securely connects you to tools and your child’s school records, which will assist you in supporting their academic success. To register, parents/legal guardians need their student’s four-digit security code, which can be requested from the office. Current features available to parents/legal guardians include:

  • Attendance and schedule
  • Grades and assignments
  • Individualized Educational Programs (for students receiving special education services)

Volunteering

Before applying to volunteer, it is recommended that you reach out to the office, parent center, and/or your child’s teacher to ensure that there are available opportunities based on your preferred assignment. Next, complete a volunteer application on LAUSD’s Volunteer Management System. If you need assistance, contact Ms. Padilla.
