Principal's Message

Dear Palms Elementary & SAS Community and Prospective Families ,

I am honored and excited to serve as Principal of Palms Elementary & School for Advanced Studies. At Palms, we are a Community School where every child is valued, included, and celebrated. Our mission is to foster social-emotional growth while inspiring joyful and rigorous learning that challenges students and encourages them to reach their full potential.

Since 1999, I have worked with students, families, and staff across Los Angeles Unified School District in roles including Teacher, Literacy Coach, Intervention Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every child deserves a nurturing and engaging learning environment where they can explore their interests, discover their strengths, and grow academically and personally.

At Palms, we bring our vision to life by helping students construct their own knowledge through real-world problem solving, access to the global learning community through technology, and opportunities to explore the arts and enrichment programs. Our school provides differentiated instruction and multi-tiered support, ensuring that every student receives the guidance they need to succeed.

We also believe in the power of partnerships. Parents are equal partners in their child’s education, and our local business and university partners play an active role in enriching learning experiences. Together, we create a vibrant, supportive community where students can learn, lead, and thrive.
